Sally teaches an off-grid living class at Peppersauce Campground north of Tucson, AZ. It’s monsoon season. Javelinas, Scorpions, a black bear and a wounded mountain lion join the class without an invite.

After the gully-washer barreled in like an arena full of charging bulls, the road is washed out. They are forced to shelter in place, bodies and all, until the road can be opened. Some try to escape over the top of Mt. Lemmon but a forest fire has closed the road.

Sally, Rodney the mankin, and niece Joany must uncover the killer before they all become victims. But was there even a murder committed?
