Review:
Sally Wins the Lottery — But She Didn’t Buy a Ticket!… This is the second book I have read by this author and I am totally addicted. The author has a way of taking a mystery story and making it like you’ve never thought of before. This is totally refreshing to me. I am definitely now a big fan of Alexie Linn. I’m heading to book three, hope to see you there! … M. Wood

Liked the characters. They have such great and unique personalities. I would have liked to have had a little more of the story about Johnny. I just knew that the escaped prisoner was going to be something with him. It was definitely an enjoyable read! Laura C. Saunders… The Mt. St. Helen’s Affair (Narrator)

This was, I guess, a cozy mystery. It was light and bright with a lot of info on personal growth. The author must be excellent at coaching since she writes about it with knowledge and compassion. ..Patti Jane
Excellent! 5 stars
Wonderfully written and thought provoking… GU
Cathartic and life changing! 5 stars
This was a heartfelt story of the emotional and physical metamorphosis of a woman coming to terms with grief decades after its origin, while Ms Freed untangles the mind-blowing mystery she was unwittingly involved in from the start. ..Ashenshade
What starts off as a personal trainer eager to fix an ailing overweight woman quickly spirals into a murder mystery with Joan Freed at the center and Queenie, her new charge, in a state of emotional catharsis amidst unknown danger. This is perfect example of misdirection in a mystery novel. For the first few chapters you’d be right to believe that this is a literary novel geared towards getting the reader to eat more healthy and consider healthier life choices as they live them vicariously through a jolly old woman. Then, when it’s least expected, death finds its way to forefront of the story, both present and repressed. Characters climb a great arc and come out the other end changed from who they were. Definitely a read worth experiencing.
Brave, inspiring, and hope-provoking.
A real and relevant story about inner growth and rediscovery. A unique approach toward freedom from the weight of grief and ultimate rebirth. Refreshing and delightful.
I Love, Love, Love these books!
The large print… the short chapters… I can be interrupted and not lose the story line! Rita L., Apache Junction, Arizona

Sally the Loner Meets the Sourdough Kid is a Mysterious Adventure by Alexie Linn. I really enjoyed this mystery. At 87, Sally is a real hoot and Bobby is a great kid. I enjoyed that there was several themes in the story from kidnapping to buried treasure. Through all of the adventures, Sally and Bobby’s friendship grew and blossomed. I thought that Schann Stewart brought the story to life with her excellent narration. I hope that this is the beginning of a fun series.

“There’s just one problem.,” says Earl of Lynden, Washington. “We open the book and can’t put it down until the last page is turned. Right now, Sally Wins the Lottery is all the buzz. Keep ’em coming! “
