A cozy YouTube series for memoirists, storytellers, and anyone gathering the stories that shaped them.

“Pull up a chair. The stories that shaped you are still waiting to be gathered. In this series, we wander through memory, meaning, and the small moments that make a life. Each episode is a gentle invitation to remember — and to begin preserving your own story.”
Start with Episode 1, Spark your memories with your Senses.
Here’s what you’ll discover:
Episode #1: Engage your senses

Memory Excavation (Senses) Memories rarely walk through the front door—they slip in through scent, sound, and texture. This episode shows how to use your senses as gentle excavators, pulling up vivid stories you didn’t know were still alive inside you.

Episode #2: Interview yourself

Interview Your Past Selves
Pick an age (7, 14, 22, 35…) and write a short “interview” with that version of you. Ask what they feared, loved, misunderstood, or wanted. Their answers often reveal emotional arcs and themes.
Episode #3: family stories

Family Oral Histories
Record casual conversations with relatives—especially the ones who tell stories sideways, with tangents and laughter. The offhand comments often contain the gold.

Episode #4: Digging up Gold

Artifact Digging
Pull out old objects—recipes, ticket stubs, tools, jewelry, letters, yearbooks—and write the story of how each came into your life. Objects are powerful portals.

Why I Created This Series
I created Harvest Your Wandering Memories because so many of us carry stories we’ve never had the chance to gather. We hold moments that shaped us — childhood scenes, family rituals, quiet turning points — but we’re not always sure how to turn them into memoirs or meaningful personal narratives. This series is my way of offering a warm, gentle place to begin. A place where your memories feel welcome.
What I Hope It Offers You
My hope is that each episode gives you practical guidance. It also aims to give creative inspiration. It offers a sense of companionship as you explore your own life stories. Whether you’re writing a memoir, preserving family history, or simply trying to remember more deeply, this series offers tools and prompts. It provides encouragement to help you shape your memories into something lasting.
How It Connects to My Memoir
This series grows directly from the heart of my own memoir work. It comes from the process of wandering back through my life. I’ve gathered the stories that made me and learned how to honor them on the page. Everything I teach here is something I’ve lived, practiced, or discovered while writing my own book. Consider this series a companion lantern to your memoir. It serves as a light to help you find your way through your own remembering.
The Emotional Promise
Here, you’ll find warmth, reflection, and a sense of belonging. No pressure. No perfection. Just a cozy cabin where your memories can stretch their legs and your stories can come home.
